It's been a while since I put a picture up, so here's one of my new look, super-enhanced vegetable plot. Also noticeable is the squirrel-proof bird feeder. This really is impossible for them to get into, although the other day the string broke and I had to put it back up again. I have a strong feeling that they chewed it through, but they did it when it was empty, so they still failed to get any seeds. HA!
Compare it to last year, here:

You sound so triumphant at outsmarting the squirrels! They may be clever, but they are only rodents ;)
Glad to see you're expanding the plot - will you be growing anything new this year?
You're right. they're only rodents. But compared to last year when they demolished my feeders, I'm incredibly happy to be thwarting their cunning plans of world bird-feeder dominatiion.
As for new crops, the broad beans are my first step into the unknown this year. I think i'm planning to grow the small amount of veg i plant better. And make it last by trying out successional planting. That's all really. I've got a few different varieties though - mainly from the heritage seed society. I am going to try a pumpkin too - in a pot i think. And I'll maybe make some soup from it!! ;)
Aha, that's what they want you to believe, Claire! They're actually secretly running the show and just letting us think we're the ones in charge.
